We Need Volunteers for the Upcoming Ta-Hoe Nalu!

We’re are only a month away from this year’s Ta-Hoe Nalu Paddle Festival and we need volunteers to help in several categories.

Listed below are the areas we need help.

If you’re interested in volunteering please pick a category you would like to work and the time you can commit to and email ernie@tahoenalu.com.

*All volunteers will receive Ta-Hoe Nalu bucks for food/beverages and free entry in any event.

Event Setup

Friday, August 11
8 am – 12 pm

Need 6 to 8 volunteers.

Duties:

  • laying out booth spaces for Sponsor / Exhibitors
  • putting in fencing for Beer Garden and race finish area
  • put out trash cans throughout the vendor village
  • Setting buoys for race course

Exhibitor Load in Supervisor

Friday, August 11
10 am – 3 pm

Need 2 volunteers.

Duties:

  • Manage load in area
  • direct them to check in
  • Exhibitors / Sponsors allowed to unload only and move off site

Maintenance Help

Saturday, August 12 / Sunday, August 13
9 am – 12 pm / 1 pm – 4 pm

Need 2 volunteers.

Duties:

  • Very light duty to check trash cans and replace winners when needed.

Bartenders at the Kona Beer Garden

Saturday, August 12 / Sunday, August 13
10 am – 5 pm

The beer garden will be open from 10 am to 5 pm each day.

Registration

Friday, August 11
12 pm – 4 pm

Need 6 volunteers for each shift.

Duties:

  • Four volunteers to help gather paddlers and pass out t-shirts and swag
  • Help registrants use iPads to register for races online

Shifts available:

  • Saturday, August 12
    7 am – 10 am
  • Saturday, August 12
    11 am – 1 pm
  • Sunday, August 13
    7 am – 10 am
  • Sunday, August 13
    11 am – 1 pm

Event Closing and Teardown

Sunday, August 13
4 pm – 6 pm

Need 4 to 6 volunteers.help tear down event and clean beach.

Duties:

  • Help tear down event and clean beach.
